• Poster for Markey Cancer Research Day

    Yesterday, Engaged Aging Lab members Kennedy Walcott-George and Andrea Hernandez Gonzalez presented a poster for Markey Cancer Research Day! This poster proposes a study to adapt the Harmony dementia care program for a new population of adults with glioblastoma, which would greatly advance non-pharmacological intervention opportunities for this population. Congratulations to them both! We’re so grateful to have them on the team and excited to see where they’ll share their research next.

  • Omega Psi Phi Healthy Brain Aging Event

    This past Wednesday, the Omega Psi Phi fraternity here in Lexington hosted their annual health event at the Black & Williams Neighborhood Center! University of Kentucky neuropsychologist, Dr. Willie McBride, gave a presentation on the differences between brain health and mental health. Free health screens were offered by UK Department of Neurology, as well as informational resources from UK Neurology and Sanders-Brown Center on Aging. Catering was provided by DV8 Kitchen.
